Articles, Forums, and Blogs

Apparently these are some of the keys to marketing online. These three seem to be generationg me some MLM traffic to my website, and generationg some phone calls.

The key to these three things is becoming the expert. You have to have some value to what you are saying. You have to speak (or write) with authority.

Write about something that you know and are passionate about.

Articles

I use a submission service and I try to write a fresh article about 2 times a week. ( You can read my articles at http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Keith_Jenkins )

The cool thing about articles if they are well written and not just a "sales" letter than other publishers will pick them up and post them over the internet. This provides a fantastic way to get your "name" out there (along with the link to your capture page as well)

Of course the more people see you out there, the more that they think you are an expert.

Forums
It's really the same thing for a forum. The main difference with a forum is that I try to get a discussion going about lead generation, or blogging, or something that I know a little about. I try to provide value to the other readers, and then I always post my link at the bottom in my signature file. If people find value in the forum or article, they will come back to me to ask additional questions, or want to find out more about me by going to my link.

Blogs

Blogs are a little different. Blogs take a little bit more creativity. With a blog you need to post something at least 2-3 times per week. This is where some people run into trouble. They can't come up with enough content to keep it interesting.

The cool thing about all of these things is that they are FREE!! If you have good content on them and the information that you are providing is useful, people will come.

"If you build it they will come"

Use these three things on a daily basis and soon you'll have plenty of people interested in what you are doing!!

Article that I wrote about Keith's MLM and List building

Keith’s MLM Forums, Articles, and List Building

The longer I’m on the internet the more that I am amazed. This internet thing is incredible.

I have learned a couple of great lessons over the last couple of months that I wanted to share with you. It has to do with Articles, Forums, list building, and becoming the Expert

Let’s talk about them one at a time.

List building.

As I surf the net, I notice that many people are advertising their “company” website. I think that this is a mistake. When I advertise, I advertise to capture peoples names and emails (sometimes phone numbers) that way we can put them into an autoresponder to get them all sorts of information that they may be interested.

If someone just goes to a company website, there is no direction there. They may just poke around and then leave. There is no compelling reason to keep them there. I always advise against promoting your companies website.

If you design a web “capture page” that is designed to entice the client to enter in their contact information, then you can market to that person indefinitely (or until they opt out)

Articles

I have been amazed at the results that a few well written articles can produce. I have had several of my articles “picked up” and syndicated in other places. This of course is fine with me because I share information, and then my link to my website is always at the bottom of the page. This link gets posted thousands and thousands of times all over the internet, and I think google and search engines like lots of links to your website.

Forums

Forums basically work on the same idea as articles. You post ideas, comments, questions and participate in a “thread” of conversation and everytime you post, your signature file contains your website address. Sometimes people will click just to learn a little more about you and take a look at your website. Especially if your advice, comments or questions were relevant.

Becoming the Expert

This is definitely the most important concept that you can grab hold of. Whenever you are seeking out advice or trying to learn a new concept who do you go to? Do you go to someone that knows less than you? No you go to someone that you perceive as an expert in that field.

Because of my extensive experience in online and offline marketing, I have people asking me questions, emailing me questions, and wanting to get involved in my programs, simply because I shared some information with them that they found valuable.

What is a subject matter that you know a lot about? Can you form an online business around that concept? What do you know better than just about everyone else out there? Can you articulate that in an article?

If you combine these concepts into an online presence, this will definitely help you to drive traffic to your site, and help you become profitable as soon as possible.

If you have questions concerns or comments on anything that we write we would love to hear it!!

Ok... Holiday over... Lets get back to work

Ok, The unofficial end to summer has happened. From what I understand that leaves us a pretty good season to sponsor a bunch of people into our MLM programs.

What I hear is that from now until Thanksgiving is the best "season" to bring on new people and I am ready.

The kids are back to school, everyone is back from their summer vacations, and people are ready to get back to business.

I for one am ready for them. We have put in place some MLM systems that will bring people through a process that will educate them, and trun them into excellent prospects for me!!

Hope you can do the same. It's not about what program they get into, it's about helping them become successful.

Would love to hear your comments, questions and concerns about anything that we write.

Happy Labor Day

Happy Labor Day!!

Well here is the salute to all those people that have jobs!! I was once one of them but no more.

Hopefully some of them are home surfing today to find a better life for themselves.

Of course having an online business is no cake walk, but I sure enjoy waking up in the morning and seeing that my businesses have grown.

It has been so incredibly hot here in San Diego at our house that we have set up the air conditioner in one room, and we have not left that room. It will be over 100 again today for the 3rd or 4th day straight.

I guess that will keep me indoors working on my business.

We would love to hear what you are doing for your holiday. Post it in the comments section and let us know. We love to hear from our readers.

Couldn't Sleep last night... This is what I did

Here in San Diego we are in the hottest time of year. The last week of August and the first week or two fo September are just way too hot.

At our house it has been over 100 last couple of days, and the humidity is terrible. Although we do have a pool (thank God!!) we don't have a very good air conditioner.

So I have been spending a lot of time with my computer at the local Starbucks... Not drinking coffee, but just using their space and air conditioner. (they don't mind, I always buy something and tip them well)

Anyway, I couldn't sleep last night because it was so hot, So I decided to build a website for fun.

I'm not much of a web designer, so I just (borrowed) from so other websites and sales letters that I liked.

http://www.imcoolstuff.com/Payitfor.html

I had a bunch of credits saved up from one of my traffic exchanges (s25, see the link to the right) so I decided to use my credits to send people to my new site.

I had never really done that before, usually I only promote my affiliate sites, but I thought I would give it a try.

Just over night (On a Saturday Night, over a three day holiday weekend) here is what happened.

About 400 people saw my website because of the traffic exchange.

I got 3 people that opted-in to my email list.
I got 1 person that actually signed up for my program.

The traffic exchange still owes me about 400 more hits... We'll see what happens.

Not bad for a night of insomnia.

If you would like some help setting up these types of systems for yourself, please let us know!!
